Dashcam Configurator Guide provides contextual product guidance and an AI assistant for supported Streamax MDVR configuration pages and FT Cloud. It does not sell user data or use it for advertising.
When a user asks the AI assistant a question, the extension sends the typed question, selected help topic, supported product family, extension version, and current page path to the company gateway. The gateway retrieves relevant product-manual passages and sends the question and reference context to the configured AI provider to generate an answer. The AI request is not configured for provider-side storage.
The extension does not intentionally send page form values, passwords, authentication cookies, VINs, license plate numbers, driver names, GPS coordinates, or camera names to the AI service. Users should not type personal, confidential, or authentication information into questions.
This controlled demo records AI questions and generated answers, response outcomes and timing, product and page context, extension version, selected help topics, and clicked help-marker labels. URL parameters, page form values, and general browsing history are not included. Records are used only to evaluate and improve the assistant and are deleted after 90 days. The demo has no off switch; users who do not agree should not activate or use it.
Feedback is submitted only when a user selects Send feedback. It can include typed feedback, current page URL, selected topic, detected product model, extension version, and an optional user-selected screenshot.
Extension preferences and activation information are stored in Chrome extension storage. Server records are stored in Cloudflare D1 and transmitted over HTTPS. Report access is restricted to the company administrator. Activation tokens and service credentials are not included in reports.
Information received from Chrome and supported product pages is used only to provide and improve contextual product guidance. It is not used for personalized advertising, sold to data brokers, or transferred for unrelated purposes.
